This unit was still using the 20–25-year-old fittings, these were showing signs of heat effects and general deterioration and many were not working as they should, with most of the emergency light battery packs failing. While the warehouse light fittings were in acceptable condition, 50% of the lamps had blown.
With help from our expert suppliers, Murray’s Electrical was able to supply a suitable specification LED fitting for the office areas that would provide anti-glare lighting as well as being fire-rated appropriate for the application. The warehouse retained the existing fittings but underwent a conversion to LED lamps, reducing the energy usage by 60% alone.
This customer was over the moon with the improvements in the lighting level throughout the premises and could not believe that the LED provided more light for less expense.
